Joe Councill III, APRN PMHNP-BC

Joe has over 20 years inpatient and outpatient psychiatric experience. In addition, Joe has over 10 years experience as a nursing educator in the Omaha area. He received his RN in 1998 from Methodist College, then received his MSN in Nurse Education in 2008 from Clarkson College. In 2013, Joe obtained his Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certificate from the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
Joe provides advanced practice to those with psychiatric conditions ranging from mild depression to schizophrenia.
He places emphasis on the whole person's physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, as well as establishing the caregiver/patient partnership. Joe utilizes research-based assessment tools during initial and subsequent appointments to accurately measure progress, and he also
collaborates among providers to ensure
minimal medications and lowest dosages necessary to achieve wellness.

Joanne Councill, BS

Joanne is a Omaha native who graduated from Gross High School.  She earned her BS in Human Resources and Family Sciences from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
She worked for ten plus years in the financial services industry before becoming a stay at home mom to her and Joe’s three children.
She is now working along side her husband as his office manager helping him fulfill his lifelong dream of having his own psychiatric private practice.
